• Born This Way

  The billboard 100 charts are the biggest joke. That means all of them. I still read them when they update every Thursday morning because once in awhile I'll find a song that I havent found already. Thats RARE though. I hate billboard because they have absolutely no taste in music. Lady GaGa's single "Born This Way" has been #1 for like 4 straight weeks now. That's complete shit because the song is probably the WORST single she's ever released. I can't stand it. I'd rather even see Grenade at the top, and you know how much it hurts me to say that. Luckily I didnt say it out loud.

  There should be a real music chart that gauges songs when they first get leaked or released. If an artist released an album and the first single sucks, the chart company should have the right to drop that shit and pick their own song off the album that they like better. The Billboard website has SO much leverage over what popular music is that it's insane. If they say Born This Way is going to be #1 for a month straight, then people will be forced to listen to it because every mainstream radio station will be playing it 30 times a day. I dont know how those people can work at the station listening to the same song all day, I'd fucking kill myself.

  I'm tempted to make one of my goals to break onto mainstream radio and de-mainstream it. I know I'm not the only person who gets sick of hearing the same 10 songs everytime I turn on the radio (which isnt often). In fact, once a song hits the radio I know to stop spinning it because it's already played out at that time. If a song makes it to radio, chances are I've already been DJing with it for like 6 months. That Usher song "More" got leaked in like 2009, and Stereo Love has been out for over a year now. These songs ARE NOT new.

  I dont know where I'm going with this, except to say that there's only two good songs on the mainstream stations that have stood the test of time:

  Taio Cruz - Dynamite
  Edward Maya ft Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love

  I wish there was a station that played just those two songs. I also wish there was an upbeat station that DOESNT cater to Lady GaGa. If the bitch releases a song and it SUCKS, you dont play it just because she's famous. I absolutely hate artists that get famous for one thing and then start doing whatever the fuck they want as soon as they become famous. DEADMAU5 is one of those people. He got famous for his new wave club tunes like Faxing Berlin, This Is The Hook, Ghosts N Stuff, Not Exactly, and even Not Alone. Now he's making bullshit-ass wacky shit and a lot of dubstep. I like dubstep, but you shouldnt start releasing dubstep songs just because the genre went mainstream last year. Get a grip dude, stick to what you're known for.
